Is There a “Zombie” in Your Neighborhood?

In Initiatives, Land Bank, MSF News by adminLeave a Comment

Zombie properties are defined as buildings that are long vacant and abandoned. The new state law regarding these properties requires banks and mortgage services (lenders) to secure and maintain them or face large fines. If you suspect a property in your neighborhood is indeed a “zombie,” you can report it to the state’s Dept. of Financial Services to make sure it gets on the state list (it may already be, but you never know).
