Terry Tippin passed away on April 23 in her beloved Masonic Temple home surrounded by her family and her loving companion Louis Baum. Terry is survived by her son Charles Christopher Tippin and wife Carolyn (Lyon) Tippin, her daughter Amanda Yates (Tippin) Straney and husband Charles Straney, her stepson Corey Grant Tippin, and seven grandchildren.
During her 21 years of residency in Little Falls, Terry was the consummate community activist. She served for many years on the boards of both the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts and the Little Falls Historical Society. She also served as President of the Historical Society. Terry was of the Episcopal faith.
Terry was a committed preservationist and a “heritage hero” who saved the Masonic Temple building from neglect. She had a passion for the arts and was an accomplished potter who mentored many others in the craft. Terry was ever-grateful for the supportive community that welcomed and appreciated her.
Terry made a difference. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and loyal companion and friend. To know Terry was to like her. Hers was a life well lived. She will be missed by all who knew her.
